Private Tsunami Relief Concert

In response to the 2004 Tsunami disaster in South Asia, Alison Lawton organized and hosted a private tsunami relief fundraiser in Vancouver in January of 2005.

Guests of the exclusive by-invitation-only event were entertained by emcee Rick Mercer, Robin Williams, Rod Stewart, Sara McLachlan, the Barenaked Ladies and Chantal Kreviazuk.

Former President Bill Clinton sent a taped message to thank all of those in attendance. The guest list included BC Premier Gordon Campbell and hockey legends Wayne Gretzky and Brett Hull.

The event raised $1.75 million for the cause.
